Helping local clients gain the legal advice they need
North Bristol Advice Centre (NBAC) is a legal advice charity. They offer free and independent advice to their local community. Due to increased demand for their services, NBAC wanted to refresh their website and incorporate an ‘Advice Tool’. This Tool would help clients to access advice without needing to speak to an adviser.
Usability testing
I supported the Lead UX designer in the usability testing of the Advice Tool prototype. As a team, we reviewed and updated the user journey based on the session outcomes.
Design and build
I designed the frontend user interface for the Advice Tool. I then managed communications with the development team to create the CSS required to style the live Tool.
I built the Advice Tool in WordPress using Gravity Forms. Given the complex nature of the form, I developed a solid understanding of conditional logic. This ensured every possible user journey resulted in the intended outcome. I applied the CSS styling by including the appropriate HTML tags within the form builder.
I also designed, built and customised the new NBAC website. To create some bespoke elements, I managed further communications with the development team.
